August 30, 2005Mens Soccer: Le Moyne home opener postponed
SYRACUSE, N.Y.
– The Le Moyne College men’s soccer home opener
scheduled for Wednesday at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex
against Dominican has been postponed due to an inclement weather
forecast. The two schools hope to make the non-conference contest
up in October.
“The weather forecast doesn’t look good with the
possibility of lightning and heavy rains resulting in poor field
conditions,” sixth-year Le Moyne College head coach Tom Bonus
said. “We were excited to play this game against a
competitive opponent and hope to make this game up this
year.”
Le Moyne (1-0) won its season opener 2-0 over Bloomsburg on
Saturday. The Dolphins will open the home portion of the schedule
on Saturday with a noon tilt against Wilmington. Le Moyne will also
play Sunday at 2:30 against Goldey-Beacom.
