LE MOYNE TOPS BLOOMSBURG 2-0 IN SEASON-OPENER
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Eric Macias (Silver
Spring, Md./Wheaton) and senior Mariel Lako
(Rochester, N.Y./Penfield) scored in the opening half to
lead Le Moyne to a 2-0 win over Bloomsburg in the season-opener for
both teams. Dating back to last season, the Dolphins (1-0) have won
16 of their last 17 games.
Less than three minutes into the contest, Macias converted a penalty kick to put the Dolphins up 1-0. Lako made it 2-0 with just under three minutes remaining in the opening half.
Senior goalkeeper Tim Mann (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch) made three saves for his 10th career shutout. The Dolphins outshot their hosts 9-5 and held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
