MLAX: ALL-AMERICAN DOUG MCIVER IN THIS WEEK'S SPORTS
ILLUSTRATED FACES IN THE CROWD
Le Moyne All-American goalie Doug McIver '09 was recognized
nationally this week (June 15th) in 
Sports Illustrated's weekly feature 'Faces in the
Crowd.' Roger Federer graces this week's cover following his
victory at the French Open.
McIver is the third Dolphin men's lacrosse player to be recognized
by Sports Illustrated as a 'Face in the Crowd' (Brandon
Spillett '05 and Mike McDonald '08).
A two-time All-American and 2009 USILA Goalie of the Year,
McIver currently stands as the NCAA all-time leader
in goals against average (3.95). Named the Northeast-10
Conference Goalie of the Year, McIver anchored a defense that led
the nation in goals against average for the ninth consecutive
season.
The Dolphins reached the national championship game for the fourth
consecutive season in 2009 and for the fifth time in program
history. Le Moyne fell to C.W. Post 8-7 in the championship game
for their only loss of the season.
