MLAX: MCIVER GETS WEEKLY HONOR AS DOLPHINS REMAIN AT TOP OF
POLL
Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men’s lacrosse
team has was voted the #1 team in the nation for the second
straight week by USILA. Le Moyne opened the week defeating Franklin
Pierce, 21-1, and then beat undefeated #4-ranked Merrimack,
5-4.
Senior goalkeeper Doug McIver (Altamont, N.Y./Albany
Academy) was named the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week
for the sixth time this season, as announced by the conference on
Monday afternoon.
McIver worked 75 minutes in a 2-0 week while improving to 10-0 on
the season. In 15 minutes against Franklin Pierce, McIver did not
allow a goal or make any saves. In a match-up of undefeated teams,
McIver made 11 saves and allowed only four goals in leading Le
Moyne to a win over then-#4 Merrimack by the score of 5-4.
Le Moyne’s next game is Tuesday, April 14th against American
International at 4:00 PM and will close out its home season on
Saturday, April 18th against Saint Michael’s at 1:00 PM.
