MLAX: MCIVER AND BROOKS GARNER WEEKLY HONORS
South Easton, Mass. - Le Moyne College senior goalkeeper
Doug McIver (Altamont, N.Y./Albany Academy) and
freshman midfielder Taylor Brooks (Cypress,
Tex./Cy-Fair) have earned Northeast-10 weekly honors, as
announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
McIver, who picked up his fifth weekly honor this year, posted a
2.65 goals against average while making 12 saves for a .706 save
percentage in two games last week. In an 11-3 victory against
#7-ranked Bentley, McIver made seven saves and only allowed three
goals.
Brooks, this week's freshman of the week, is the first Le Moyne
freshman to earn the honor this year. Brooks scored three goals in
two games last week, including two goals against Assumption in a
17-2 win.
Le Moyne (9-0, NE-10 5-0), ranked #1 in the nation for the first
time this season, beat Franklin Pierce by a score of 21-1 on Monday
afternoon. The Dolphins will play next on Saturday, April
11th at #4-ranked Merrimack at 1:00 PM.
