LE MOYNE MEN'S LACROSSE TABBED #1 IN USILA PRESEASON POLL
BALTIMORE, MD - Following a second consecutive national championship in 2007, the Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team has been tabbed at the No.#1 in the annual USILA Division II coaches poll. Le Moyne was also ranked atop the Inside Lacrosse poll entering 2008.
Head coach Dan Sheehan enters his 11th season at Le Moyne. He holds a career record of 127-30 (.809) and has led the Dolphins to seven straight Northeast-10 Conference Championships and three National Championships in the past four seasons. Le Moyne returns seven starters from last season's club including preseason All-American Mike McDonald (Sr. Attack), Alex Bily (Sr. Midfield), Brian Griffin (Jr. Face-off), Mac Cizenski (Jr. Defense), Brian Cost (Sr. Attack), Tom Donahue (Sr. Midfield) and Tim MacLean (Jr. Defense).
Le Moyne opens the season on Saturday, February 2nd as they take on Syracuse and Hofstra in a three-team scrimmage at the Carrier Dome. The Dolphins open the regular season on Saturday, March 1st when they travel to Dowling, a rematch of the 2006 NCAA Division II national championship game.
