LE MOYNE SOPHOMORE MIKE MCDONALD APPEARS IN SPORTS ILLUSTRATED'S FACES IN THE CROWD
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Le Moyne College sophomore men's lacrosse standout Mike McDonald (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) appears in the Faces in the Crowd section of the June 26 edition of Sports Illustrated. McDonald, Le Moyne's leading scorer for the past two seasons, was named the Most Outstanding Player as Le Moyne topped Dowling 12-5 for the NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse Championship in front of 23,990 at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
McDonald, a first-team All-America, scored 41 goals and assisted on 20 for a team-high 61 points. In addition to his four goals in the championship game, McDonald tallied a career-high seven goals in Le Moyne's 22-3 win over Limestone in the NCAA Semifinals.

McDonald, a sophomore attack at Le Moyne College, scored four goals
with one assist to lead the 18-0 Dolphins to a 12-5 win over
Dowling and the NCAA Division II Men's Championship. He was named
the tournament's most outstanding player and led the team with 41
goals and 61 points for the season.
The Dolphins (18-0) fashioned their second national championship
and second national championship in three seasons. Following the
2004 title, Brandon Spillett '05 also was chosen to appear in
Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd.
