MBB: EDUARDO ARCHIBOLD BROWN WRAPS UP PLAY FOR
PANAMA NATIONAL TEAM AT FIBA AMERICAS CHAMPIONSHIP
Syracuse, N.Y. - Le Moyne College men's basketball senior
center Eduardo Archibold Brown (Panama
City, Panama/Mercersburg Academy/U. of West Georgia)
wrapped up play with the Panama National team on Friday afternoon
at the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship in Puerto Rico.
Archibold Brown, who joined the Dolphins last season after playing
two years at the University of West Georgia, averaged 1.0 points
and 1.9 rebounds in eight minutes per game off the bench. The
6-foot, 9-inch center scored his first international basket after
grabbing an offensive rebound on a missed foul shot with 23 seconds
remaining in the second quarter against Argentina. In Panama's
upset 83-77 win over Uruguay, Archibold Brown hit a pair of free
throws, grabbed three rebounds and blocked two shots in seven
minutes of action. In Panama's final game of the Championship, a
74-67 loss to Mexico, Archibold Brown scored four points on 1-of-3
shooting from the field and 2-for-2 at the foul line, while
grabbing seven rebounds, including five on the offensive end, in 14
minutes of play. Panama finished the Championship in seventh place
with a 1-6 record.
