PACE USES SECOND-HALF SURGE TO DOWN LE MOYNE 80-72

Pleasanteville, NY - The Pace Setters used a strong second-half to defeat Le Moyne College on Saturday at the Goldstein Center. With the loss, Le Moyne finishes the regular season at 14-13, 12-10 in the Northeast-10 Conference play. The Dolphins will now prepare for the NE-10 Conference Tournament that will begin on March 1^st. Pace and Le Moyne split their season series as the Dolphins knocked off the Setter 18 days earlier 73-72.

Le Moyne and Pace finished the first period deadlocked at 34-34. The Dolphins were led by senior Dan Cromwell who added 13 points on 6 of 6 shooting in the first half. The Setters would charge out of the locker room with a 15-4 run to open a 49-38 advantage five minutes into the second half. The Dolphins would trim the lead to just a basket at 54-52 on a Damani Corbin lay-up with just under 10 minutes to play. Pace would push the lead back to double digits over the next five minutes and would lead by as many as 14 points heading into the final minutes.

Five Setters were in double figures, led by Laurence McGhee and Gibraltar White who scored 17 and 16 points respectively. Jonathan Joshua and Laurence Ekperigin added 16 points each for the Dolphins. Cromwell added 15 and Jason Holmes chipped in with 11 points and three steals.

Le Moyne will now prepare for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament that is set to begin on March 1^st. The Dolphins clinched a home game to open the tournament by finishing in the top eight in the regular season standing. A final bracket will be announced by the conference later next week upon the conclusion of the conference schedule.
