MEN’S GOLF CLOSES OUT FALL SEASON WITH FOURTH-PLACE FINISH AT ADPRO SPORTS INVITATIONAL

Verona, N.Y. – Junior Sam Eno (Dennis, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth Regional) finished in a tie for ninth place to lead the Le Moyne College men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the ADPRO Sports Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Turning Stone Resort's par-72, 6724-yard Kaluhyat Golf Club. The 54-hole event featured 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

St. Thomas Aquinas College won the team competition with a three-round score of 885 to top its closest competitor by 23 strokes. The Spartans recorded a 286 in the first round, a 303 in the second round and closed out the event with a 296. Roberts Wesleyan College, which served as the host, placed second with a 908 off rounds of 310, 296 and 302. Toronto-based Humber College recorded rounds of 300, 308 and 304 to place third with a 912. The Dolphins, playing in their first three-round invitational in the regular season in over nine seasons, registered a total of 921 after posting rounds of 307, 306 and 308. Southern New Hampshire University landed in fifth place with a 939 off rounds of 303, 326 and 310. Thomas Linehan from St. Thomas Aquinas earned medalist honors after shooting an even-par 216 following rounds of 68, 74 and 74.

Eno earned his third top-10 finish of the year after recording a 228 over the three rounds. He opened with a 76 in Monday's morning round and then carded a 75 in the afternoon to land in a tie for seventh place. He closed out the invitational with a 77. Sophomore Aidan Fuller (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) registered a 13th-place finish with a 230 after recording rounds of 75, 76 and 79. Junior Dan Molter (Port Crane, N.Y./Chenango Forks) was one shot back in a tie for 14th place after turning in rounds of 78, 79 and 74. Classmate Mitch Hillegas (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) produced rounds of 80, 76 and 78 to place 19th with a 234. Freshman John Clare (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) rounded out Le Moyne's team with a 240 on rounds of 78, 81 and 81 to tie for 27th place.

The Dolphins open their Spring schedule on Friday, April 4 at the Peter King Memorial at Long Island National Golf Course in Riverhead, N.Y.
