LE MOYNE NAMES JOE TESORI ‘71 HEAD GOLF
COACH
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Le Moyne College announces the appointment of Joe
Tesori as Head Golf Coach. A member of the Central New York PGA
Hall of Fame (2002) and the Le Moyne College Gold Wave Hall of Fame
(1990), Tesori is a former PGA Tour Player (1980-81). Tesori has
spent the last 26 years at Drumlins Country Club as a Club
Professional and Director of Golf Operations. Highly respected in
golf arena, Tesori served as the past CNY PGA Section President and
is currently a golf columnist for the Syracuse Post Standard. A
graduate of Le Moyne College, Tesori led the Dolphins to the 1971
NCAA Championships in his senior year.
“This is a great opportunity for me to return to Le Moyne
College and share my experiences with student-athletes,” says
Tesori. “I look forward to continue the long and great
tradition of Golf at Le Moyne and uphold the recent accomplishments
by Nick Masterpole.” Tesori replaces Masterpole, who led the
Dolphins to six consecutive NCAA appearances (2002-07) and a 20th
place finish
“Le Moyne College is proud to have Joe Tesori join the
Athletics Department as Head Golf Coach,” said Director of
Athletics, Matt Bassett. “Joe has great experience playing at
the highest level and has shown a true passion to teach the game to
others. We are excited to see Joe build on Le Moyne’s
outstanding tradition and the recent achievements. Le Moyne College
would also like to thank Nick Masterpole for his many of years of
dedicated service to the Athletic Department.”
