Dolphins Take 5th at Dowling College September Shoot-Out
The Le Moyne Dolphins golf team participated in the Dowling College September Shoot-Out September 16-17 at the 6238 yard, Par 71 Long Island National Golf Course. Le Moyne finished with a combined team total of 608, while the leader, St. Thomas Aquinas, shot a team score 591 to take top team honors.
Dan McCarthy led Le Moyne with a five over, 147 for the two day tournament to finish tenth overall. McCarthy was unable to catch Brent Silano of New Haven as he shot a two over par 144 during the two rounds to take top individual honors at the Dowling Shoot-Out. McCarthy was followed by teammates Joe Tesori (20th, 150), and Mark Sierotnik (31st, 154) as they drove Le Moyne to a 5th place finish. Tim Martins and Brian Tischler rounded out the order for the Dolphins as they shot a 157 and 160 respectively.
Le Moyne looks to improve on their most recent finish as they compete this weekend in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The tournament will be held at the Links at Sunset Ridge in Marcellus, NY as action begins Saturday September 23rd, with the second round to follow on Sunday.
