Le Moyne Athletics : Dan McCarthy wins Colgate Fall Invitational for the second consecutive year, Dolphins finish 14th

LE MOYNE'S DAN MCCARTHY WINS COLGATE FALL INVITATIONAL

HAMILTON, N.Y. - Le Moyne College senior Dan McCarthy (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) shot a two-day one-under par 143 to win his second consecutive individual title at the Colgate Fall Golf Invitational. McCarthy won the tournament by two strokes over team champion Bucknell's Keita Aoki and Charlie Waddell and Nick Wheeler of St. Francis.

At the 6,915 yard Seven Oaks Golf Course, McCarthy shot a one-under par 71 in the tournament's final round. He shot an even-par opening round of 72 to take a share of the lead into the second day. McCarthy has won six tournaments in the past two seasons.

Le Moyne finished 14^th in the 17-team event. Bucknell used three golfers among the top seven scores to edge Binghamton by three strokes.
