LE MOYNE EIGHTH, MCCARTHY TIED FOR FOURTH AFTER OPENING ROUND AT NCAA DIVISION II NORTHEAST REGIONAL

WHEELING, W.Va. - Le Moyne teamed for an opening round 350 (+66) in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Northeast Regional at the 7,001 yard Par 71 Speidel Jones Course in Wheeling, W.Va. The Dolphins enter the second day of the three-day tournament 34 strokes behind day one leader Goldey Beacom.

Junior Dan McCarthy (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) shot a seven-over par 78 to top the Le Moyne competitors. He is in a three-way tie for fourth place, three strokes behind opening round leader Brent Silano of New Haven. Sophomore Joe Tesori  carded an 87 (+16) for 35th, while Mark Sierotnik is 42nd, Trevor Morgan is 44th at +23 and Will Schwartz misrepresented his score on his scorecard so his score was not counted.
