Each year, the Gold Wave hosts the Gold Wave Open Golf Tournament. The largest fund-raiser for the athletic department, the tournament has raised over a half million dollars in the last 28 year. The tournament is held during the second week of August each summer.
Established in 1983, the Le Moyne College Gold Wave Hall of Fame is to honor those men and women graduates of Le Moyne who have exhibited a degree of accomplishment and who have distinguished themselves in their field of endeavor after having distinguished themselves in their intercollegiate athletic pursuits while at Le Moyne College.
Each spring, the athletic department and Gold Wave honor the achievements of student-athletes at the Student-Athlete Awards Ceremony. During this event, awards are presented in the field of athletic, academic and community achievement.
New for 2008, the Gold Wave, along with the Office of Alumni & Parent Programs, will put on the Student-Athlete Reception to welcome new student-athletes and their parents into the Le Moyne athletic community
The Gold Wave also sponsors the 'Senior Day' for each of the 16 athletic programs at Le Moyne. During 'Senior Days,' graduating student-athletes are honored for their commitment to the athletic program, the College and to the surrounding community.
