BASEBALL AWARDED NORTHEAST-10 ACADEMIC TEAM EXCELLENCE AWARD

Syracuse, N.Y. -  SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Northeast-10 Conference announced on Thursday the recipients of the NE-10 Team Academic Excellence Awards for the 2011-12 academic year. Competing in Division II and the Northeast-10 Conference for the first time in 2012, the Le Moyne College baseball team captured the academic honor with a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.015.  The conference honors one team in each of their sponsored sports with the highest grade point average.

Le Moyne, which won the Northeast-10 Conference Championship and advanced to the East Region championship game, finished its first season back at the Division II level with a record of 43-15-1. The 43 wins are a program record, eclipsing the previous record of 38 set in 2006.
