Syracuse, N.Y. – On the heels of a nationally recognized recruiting class in 2009, Le Moyne College Head Baseball Coach Steve Owens announced that Adam Breuer, Joe Carcone, Ed Kohout and Nate Reynolds will join the Dolphins in 2011.

Nate Reynolds, OF, Maine-Endwell HS / Johnson City, NY
A member of Maine-Endwell's varsity football and baseball teams each of his four years in high school, Reynolds batted .461 his junior year while scoring 30 runs. Over the past two seasons, Reynolds has guided head coach Gary Crooks' Maine-Endwell club to a 42-6 record while batting .402 with 61 hits and 54 runs over that span. Additionally, he was a member of the football team that reached the Class 'A' semifinals and was named All-Conference and 4th Team All-State.

"Nate is a big, strong and fast athlete. His aggressive approach to base running and defense should provide him an opportunity to compete early in his career for playing time."

Adam Breuer, P, Marcellus HS / Marcellus, NY
A left-handed pitcher from nearby Marcellus High School, Adam Breuer is a three-time letterwinner for head coach Pete Birmingham. As a sophomore, Breuer struck out 36 in 25 innings of work as a starter and reliever. During his junior season, Breuer registered victories in five of six starts and compiled a 1.29 ERA. In 35 innings of work, he struck out 46 and yielded only 21 hits. Breuer has also lettered in basketball each of the past three season.

"Adam is a very projectable pitcher featuring a mid 80's fastball with a tremendous breaking ball. He is one of the most dominant players in the CNY area with potential to be an impact pitcher at the college level."

Joe Carcone, OF, New Hartford HS / New Hartford, NY
A three-time Tri-Valley League All-Star for Head Coach Brian Lalonde's club at New Hartford High School, Joe Carcone was named the 2009 Tri-Valley East Player of the Year after hitting .435 with 26 stolen bases. In addition to being named a four-time American Legion All-Star for the New Hartford Post 1376, Carcone was also named a 2nd team All-State running back for the football team. He is the program's all-time leading rusher with over 3,500 yards.

Coach Owens on Joe Carcone...
"Joe is one of the best all-around athletes in the CNY area on the baseball diamond as well as the football field. He possesses a strong arm and the ability to steal bases, the type of player that fits our profile of a lead-off hitter. Joe has proven to be a mentally tough individual in both sports he has played."

Ed Kohout, P, Genesee Community College, Clarence, NY
Ed Kohout will join the Dolphins following his second season at Genesee Community College. In his first season at GCC for Head Coach Skip Sherman, Kohout earned four wins on the mound and struck out 38 batters in 34.2 innings pitched. He earned 1st Team All-Region and All-Conference honors. Kohout, a graduate from Clarence High School and player for former Dolphin Dave Smith '94 who was 14th round selection of the Boston Red Sox.

"Ed showed great development after high school and with an upper 80's to low 90's fastball, he has an opportunity to make an immediate impact on our staff. Ed is a very polished pitcher and has the physical and mental attributes we look for in student-athletes at Le Moyne.

Le Moyne opens the 2010 campaign on February 19th as the Dolphins travel to the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, NC to face Illinois-Chicago and Wright State.
