CRAWFORD LEADS WITH THREE HITS, DOLPHINS DROP THIRD GAME TO ORU 9-4.

TULSA, OK - The Le Moyne baseball team wrapped up their three-game series with Oral Roberts on Sunday, dropping the finale 9-4. Le Moyne was led by senior third basemen Stephen Crawford who reached base four times and was 3-for-5 at the plate. Le Moyne drops their third straight game and is currently 2-5 on the season. Oral Roberts remains unbeaten at 7-0.

ORU opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning as the Golden Eagles loaded in the bases and moved in three runs on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Groth, a double by Brian Van Kirk and a single by David Genao. The Dolphins would strike back in the top half of the third inning as Crawford single and stole second base. He would score on a double by Cory O'Neill to centerfield to pull within two runs at 3-1.

Oral Roberts struck for three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Golden Eagles used three hits and two walks to extend their lead to 6-1. Le Moyne responded in the top half of the sixth inning. Following singles by Alex Del Valle and Crawford, Mike Brown drove in the two infielders on a single through the right side.

In the bottom half of the sixth, Oral Roberts pushed the lead back to 9-3 as Genao connected for a two out, bases clearing double to right center. For the second time in the series the Dolphins out hit ORU (12-8), but failed to come away with a victory.

Junior Matt Nandin continued his strong offensive play with a 2-or-5 effort. Mike Brown added two hits and two RBI's, while Chris Haynes added two hits and a run scored.

Le Moyne returns to action on Tuesday, March 4^th as they travel to take on #7 nationally ranked Wichita State University at 3:00 PM. Sophomore Dan Tunison is scheduled to make his second start of the season.
