RYAN WOODS SIGNS FREE AGENT CONTRACT WITH THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS
Le Moyne College relief pitcher Ryan Woods has signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Royals. Woods will report to the Burlington Royals in North Carolina, the Royal's minor league single-A affiliate.
Ryan Woods was named the 2007 MAAC Relief Pitcher of the Year and Tournament MOP as the Dolphins captured the conference championship. His 14 saves and 1.34 ERA currently rank fourth and third in the national respectively.
Woods arrived to Le Moyne as a catcher and through hard work and
dedication, became one of the elite relief pitchers in college
baseball. He leaves the Le Moyne program as the all-time leader in
saves.
