MICHAEL FALASCA NAMED METRO ATLANTIC ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
EDISON, N.J. - Senior southpaw Michael Falasca (Sicklerville, N.J./Gloucester Catholic) has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week. It marks the second consecutive week that a Le Moyne College pitcher has garnered top pitcher honors.
Falasca struck out five, walked one and allowed just two hits as Le Moyne topped Iona 6-1 to complete a three-game MAAC baseball sweep on Sunday. Falasca (1-3) allowed two singles - one in the second inning and another in the fifth. He is 1-3 with a 4.44 ERA in five starts this season. Falasca has struck out 18 and allowed just 22 hits in 26.1 innings this season.
The Dolphins (12-8, 4-2 MAAC) meet the Syracuse SkyChiefs in an exhibition game on Tuesday at Alliance Bank Stadium. Le Moyne opens its home schedule on Wednesday with a doubleheader against St. Bonaventure. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m.
