Mandy Pennewell is in her first year with the Dolphins after graduating this past spring from Quinnipiac University, where she majored in Sociology. As a dominant guard and three-year starter for the Bobcats, Pennewell accumulated 1,231 points throughout her career, playing in 111 games and earning 88 starts. Overall, she finished 15th in all-time scoring at Quinnipiac and third in career three-pointers (175).

The team's leading scorer on seven occasions in her senior year, Pennewell pulled in a career-high 112 rebounds in her final collegiate campaign to round out her four-year career with at total of 352 rebounds, 156 assists, and 100 steals. In her junior year, she averaged 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game and was named to the All-Northeast Conference Second Team and to the Surf'N Slam All-Tournament Team. Leading the Bobcats in three-point field goals with 36 and scoring in double figures in 19 of 28 games, Pennewell had another strong season as a sophomore, averaging 11.7 points per game. After missing the first seven games as a freshman, she averaged 4.7 points over the final 23 games of the season, while making two starts.

A 2005 graduate of Villa Maria Academy, the native of West Chester, Pennsylvania earned All-State First Team honors as well as All-League First and Second Team, and was also named Main Line Times Athlete of the Year. Pennewell led Villa Maria to a State Eastern final, two league championships, three district championships, three quarterfinal appearances and four state tournament appearances.
