Danny Lawson joins the Le Moyne Basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant following one year as a Basketball Operations Intern for the Boston Celtics during their run to the 2008 NBA Championship. Lawson was responsible for game film analysis and preparation of video edits for coaches, players and management. Lawson also created scouting and personnel reports on all 29 NBA team and performed statistical analysis during all games. He also assisted the coaching staff and players during individual workouts, practice and pre-game routines and traveled with the team during the playoffs to assist the organization's operations.

Lawson, a 2007 graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences and a minor in Management, was a four-year letterwinner for the Falcons. Lawson's class finished their career with a record of 101-27 and made three trips to the NCAA tournament. For his career, Lawson played in 125 games, the second-highest total in the program's history, and averaged 5.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest. Lawson and the Falcons, who won the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title in 2005, 2006 and 2007, advanced to the Elite Eight in 2007 and finished the season ranked second nationally. The 2007 team won 32 straight games to break the all-Divisions New England record of 29 set by a Bob Cousy-led Holy Cross team in 1950.

Lawson, who was named Bentley's Francis M. Bennett Most Improved Player Award in 2005, is pursuing a Master's degree in General Education.
