LE MOYNE COLLEGE SCORES NACMA AWARD FOR SPORTS MARKETING EFFORTS

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – For the third consecutive year, the Le
Moyne College Athletic Department has been recognized at the
National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA)
convention during the annual awards ceremony held on Tuesday, June
26th.
Le Moyne was awarded a silver medal in the category of
‘Single Newspaper Display Advertisement’ after
publishing a full-page advertisement in the spring edition of The
Post Standard’s CNY Sports Magazine. Le Moyne has
collected four NACMA awards in the past three years. The design
featured recent graduate Brittany Brigandi, a two-time All-American
member of the women’s lacrosse team.
In addition to supporting the NCAA Division II strategic marketing
platform of ‘Life in the Balance,’ the
creative featured Le Moyne College’s ‘Dolphins
are…’ theme recently showcased in the
college-wide marketing campaign.
The artwork for the advertisements was created by the Le Moyne
College Sports Information Office, with photography provided by
Greg Wall.
Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards program honors outstanding
achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented each
year in 13 categories, divided into three groups based upon school
size and conference affiliations. A record-breaking total of 950
entries were received for the 2011-12 year.
The winners were presented their awards during NACMA's 21st Annual Convention, held this past weekend in Dallas, Texas.
