2009 season wrap-up.
It is tough not to be disappointed that our season did not
continue into the post-season. I felt we definitely had the talent
to do so. The Northeast 10 Conference is so tough. Any team
can win on any given day - we needed to have had one more of those
winning days to have made it in.
There is a lot for us to be proud of this year. This team did
achieve 10 wins for only the second time since the 1993 season.
This senior class graduates with the 3rd most wins in
school history with a combined record of 36-29-6.
Transition and change is never easy - the girls really worked hard
all year long. It is still setting in that it's over. I am very
proud to have been a part of this team.
Also, those that are members of the Gold Wave and other alumni
organizations in the next couple weeks, you will be receiving a
letter from Athletic Director Matt Bassett with some exciting news
about the current projects and key priorities underway in our
athletic department. He will also be asking for you to consider
becoming a member of the Gold Wave for the 2009-2010 year. You can
support our Women's Soccer program directly by returning the pledge
card from that mailing, or you can simply click
here and make your gift online
Thank you again for all the support during my first year. Check
back in a couple months to see how off-season training and
recruiting are going.

Hello again from Women's Soccer!
It has been a hectic and exciting month. We are coming off a big
conference win against St. Michael's. The girls really showed a lot
of heart in that game - it was a great team effort. Of course as
has been the norm for us at home - we took the game into double
overtime. I think the girls just like giving the fans a little
extra soccer, after all, it was gorgeous afternoon in Syracuse.
The new turf complex looks like it's coming along - there is still
a lot of mud and dirt piles but it's exciting to see the work
continue. We are still hopeful the locker rooms will be completed
before this season is over.
We are also in preparation for our 1st Kids Night Out of the year.
That will be on November 14th from 6-10 on-campus in the Rec
Center. Please check back for more details.
Go Dolphins!

WOW! It has been quite a month for me and the team. I got to town
on Aug 6th and we had our first team meeting on Aug. 9th.
We went on a day and a half retreat Monday – Tuesday. It was
great to get to know the girls a little bit away from soccer. I
think it was also good for the girls to get to know me before they
heard those dreaded four words “Get on the line”!
The girls have been training and working hard since our first
session on Aug. 12th. They have been introduced to a new level of
fitness. I was overall pleased with the results of the Beep Test
(the best marks were an 18.2. and 18.3). I think the girls really
enjoyed doing the 120’s!! (Not so much) The running has
generally been followed with some abs – their favorite being
the body rocks!
Coming in not knowing the girls or what to expect I have been
blown away. This group is extremely hard working and dedicated to
raising the bar. Every day our expectations grow.
As an alum – I am very excited to come back to the Heights.
It is an exciting time for Le Moyne. There is growth and
development….a new turf field being built for soccer and
lacrosse. They are reconfigured the Athletic Center to add locker
rooms and office space for the women’s sports.
It has been a hectic first month, but overall a great start. I am
looking forward to the season ahead!
